Copy a Session clip into the Arrangement

Say it like this

Each of these was run against a real Ableton session on every model below, and the reply is what Tine actually said — quoted, not rewritten. Switch tabs to see how the answer changes with the model.

These are a floor, not a syntax — you can be a good deal vaguer, and how vague scales with the model you run. The smaller local model wants a clear verb and a clear target; the hosted one takes the most roundabout phrasing you can throw at it.

Also in arrangement

• Move and repeat clips on the timeline

Shift a section to a different bar, or repeat it across the next eight — the block-moving part of arranging, spoken.

• Set the arrangement loop

Loop the section you're working on by naming its bars, instead of dragging the loop brace to them.

• Build and fire scenes

Create, duplicate, name and launch scenes — the structure layer of a Session-view set.
