This website

No cookies and no third-party analytics. We count page views and a few interaction events (that someone opened the vocabulary page, played the demo, or started checkout) in a first-party log, with a random per-tab id that is discarded when you close the tab. It is not linked to you and cannot follow you to another site.

If you buy

Payment is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card details. We store your email address, the amount, the Stripe session id, your licence key, and — once you activate — an anonymous machine identifier per installation, so we can enforce the three-machine limit. That is the whole record.

If you join a list

We store the address and which list it was. We use it to tell you about Tine and nothing else, we don’t sell it, and one reply asking to be removed is enough.

The Tine app

Tine runs on your machine. Your project files, your audio, and your sets are never uploaded anywhere. The app contacts this server exactly once, to activate your licence, and works offline afterwards.

If you choose to use a hosted language model rather than one running on your own GPU, the text of your request and a short description of the relevant part of your set are sent to that provider so it can be interpreted. Never audio, and never your project file. Running the model locally means nothing leaves the machine at all.

Getting it deleted

Ask, and we’ll delete your record. A licence tied to a deleted record stops being reissuable, so we’ll say so before doing it.
